Claire Lew is a professional musician and music teacher with over 30 years of performing and teaching experience in Southern California. She is also an active member of The Music Teachers Association of California since 1998.

At age 4 she started her piano lessons and explored other instruments throughout her youth. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at E-Wha Woman’s University in Seoul, Korea and a Master’s degree at California State University in Los Angeles, both in Viola Performance.

She has performed with numerous chamber groups and orchestras since she was a college student. Her performance career includes the viola chairs in Korean Youth Orchestra, California Central Philharmonic Orchestra, L.A. Sinfonietta, Agape String Quartet, and Charis String Quartet, to name a few.

She engages herself in teaching sessions with the heart and desire to ensure that her students’ investment in music education becomes an asset for their future, and ultimately enriches their lives with music. Many of her former students still enjoy music and their instruments, and continuously pursue their passion playing in the local youth orchestra, college orchestra, church orchestra, and ensembles.
